About This Project
The Sorba torrent flows along a valley with the same name. This is a tributary valley to Valsesia and is located in close proximity to our base. The torrent flows into the River Sesia in the Piode municipality and the last section belongs to the Piode fly-fishing reserve which extends from Campertogno to Scopello. Featuring waterfalls, leaps, slides and crystal-clear pools, it epitomizes Canyoning to the full.
This activity is carried out during the whole week, from Monday to Sunday.
A 5 minute drive by minibus takes us to the departure point followed by a few minutes on foot, crossing a stone Napoleonic bridge to reach the torrent where the adventure starts. This section features slides, toboggans and leaps (no leap is obligatory, except 2 one metre high leaps), two abseiling descents (7 metres and 12 metres). Initially, we wade along the rocky streambed, sliding and swimming across pools. Then the gradient increases creating several deep crystalline pools preceded by waterfalls and toboggans. The route ends at a stone bridge, where it is possible to take a hair-raising leap. Natural environment with some human settlements. Easy/medium level of difficulty. Suitable for both novices and successive outings. This is a water playground at its best!
